A Client's Story - Claustrophobia
The Issue
Sandra* came to me for help before an MRT scan she had to undergo the very next morning.
On a scale of 1 to 10 she said her claustrophobia was at a 10. Not a good thing when you have to spend a full hour in an MRT with very little space.
She had claustrophobia, or a fear of not being able to get out, since her early childhood, when her brother locked her into a cupboard. All she could think of in an enclosed space was “There’s so little room, I can’t breathe, I need to get out of here!”
The Session
We had one session together – and frankly, there would not been have any time for more. But it was a success!
After about 15 minutes I knew enough about Sandra and the issue to get to work.
I put her into a state of deep relaxation and worked with her subconscious mind to reduce the claustrophobia from a 10 to a 1!
All in all, the process took under an hour, and you only need to read the testimonial to know how it all went.
The Result
Sandra writes:
“I think we worked out more than claustrophobia, it was not liking being hemmed in. Can’t say I thought about it much when I was in there. I certainly was very calm last night and woke up in a good mood, which was surprising as it was 5 a.m.
I was very calm and all went well. Thanks so much for your help. I was told to rest and take it very easy for the rest of the day, due to medications they gave me, but I came home and started sorting out my wardrobes and having a clear out. So yes, the short answer is it went well.”
The change can be almost instant
A fear or phobia is your subconscious’ reaction to a scary experience you have had when you were younger.
You may have a fear of spiders because one of your parents was also afraid of spiders. Or there may have been an event in your childhood that triggered your subconscious to overreact in order to protect you from harm. And once the subconscious mind’s solution is in place, it takes a lot of convincing to change that again.
Some fears were not even caused by the thing you’re afraid of, but in another way connected to it. An example are button phobias. Buttons aren’t in themselves scary, but if as a little child you were on your mother’s arm and suddenly got scared, the buttons of her blouse you held on to may be connected to that fear now.
That means you won’t necessarily find out what caused it by thinking long and hard. And you don’t need to.

Hypnotherapy can easily solve phobias. It allows me to speak directly to your subconscious mind to remove or lessen the phobia. It often takes just one session to free you from that lifelong fear.
