How does it work?

Your subconscious mind steers a lot of physical reactions, and it is always trying to keep you safe, even though the solutions it comes up with may not be the most helpful. You may “unconsciously” turn red in your face when talking because it is trying to protect you from shame. You may have a fear of flying because you have learned that planes can crash down.

An allergy is the body’s warning to you that it thinks there is a dangerous substance you need to stay away from. It goes into red alert over hair from a cute kitty, dust mite excretions or some pollen, even though others are not at all affected by those.

And once the subconscious mind’s solution is in place, it takes a lot of convincing to change that again.
